Meet our team

Ian Wright - Bsc, Msc, BMVS, MRCVS - Vet, co-owner
Ian has qualifications in Parasitology and has published a number of research papers. He is now Head of ESCCAP – the European Scientific Council for Companion Animal Parasites) UK and Ireland. Ian is originally from Somerset – and like Rebecca, he qualified at Glasgow University – where they met. He and Rebecca have 2 young sons, Nathan and Adam.

Rebecca Wright BVMS, BA, MRCVS - Vet, co-owner
Rebecca is originally from California, but came to the UK to qualify at Glasgow University. She has a special interest in dermatology and surgery. Out of the practice, Rebecca is also kept busy by her and Ian’s two boys – Nathan, who is 15 and Adam, who is 13.

Clarissa Hamer – Head Nurse
Clarissa joined the nursing team in December 2020 having completed here level 3 qualification in Animal Management. Since joining Clarissa started her journey as a Student Veterinary Nurse and in May 2024 qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. Her friendly disposition puts animals and their owners at ease whilst attending appointments. In her spare time Clarissa loves horse riding and spending time with her family.

Ellen Williams – Student Vet Nurse
Ellen started with us in February 2023. Ellen is currently training with us as a Student Veterinary Nurse. Ellen loves spending time with her horse Dori and her springer spaniel Bluebell.

Collette Egan – Reception
Collette joined the practice in October 2016 with plenty of experience already under her belt. Collette is the front-of-house entertainment on reception and makes a real fuss of the pets when they come in! She has a love of all animals and at home, she has 3 dogs, a cat, a tortoise and an African grey parrot. She enjoys spending time at the stables with her pony and also quality time with family. Collette has a passion for the outdoors and is often found outside with her grandchildren.

Su Slater – Reception
Meet Su!
Su has recently joined our team here at Mount Vets and brings with her a friendly and caring approach to looking after both our clients and their pets. With a strong background in customer service and a passion for animals, she’s always ready to greet you with a warm smile and help make your visit as smooth and stress-free as possible.
When she’s not at work, Su enjoys spending time with her family, keeping active, and exploring the outdoors. She’s excited to be part of the Mount Vets team and looks forward to getting to know all of our wonderful clients and their furry friends!

Narelle Stuttard – Admin
Narelle joined us in October 2019 after relocating from Manchester with her family and looks after the Mount's administrative tasks. In her spare time, she loves to spend time at the stables with her horse Major and she has just got an adorable new cockapoo puppy called Elsie!

When time allows, Narelle also enjoys travelling with her family, walking and crafting.

Grace - Animal Care Assistants
Grace is one of our newest Animal Care Assistants, always on hand to ensure that every animal receives the attention, comfort, and care it deserves. Whether she's helping with daily routines or offering a reassuring cuddle, Grace brings calm, compassion, and energy to the team.
Outside of work, you'll often find her exploring the countryside with her Labrador, Jasper, or heading to car shows in her much loved Rover Metro

Michelle Brady – Practice Manager
Michelle has worked at the practice for four years now, she plays a key role in keeping the practice running smoothly and supporting both the team and clients. Michelle is passionate about creating a positive, well organised environment where everyone feels welcome and cared for. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys travelling and spending time with her three children and her two cats Max and Paddy who were both former strays who found their forever home after being brought in to practice.
Caroline Dixon – Reception
Caroline has been with us for many years. She always has a story to tell, keeping us entertained with each shift. She is always in a rush but has time and energy for everyone. Her love for animals doesn’t stop at vets, she has 5 cats and a dog! She also loves dog walking in her spare time.
